Star Citizen: In-depth guide to Teknonel and tips for beginners (2023)

Star Citizen is still an alpha. Getting started can be a little tricky for new Verse residents. Your adventure begins, so to speak, when you decide to buy Star Citizen. With this small guide series, I would like to give interested players instructions on how to find their way around the verse and how to get started. This guide covers all the basic steps to get started with the game. If you're an experienced gamer, this guide might not be for you, but you might want to see the details you missed.

The first step: character creation and starting point

Star Citizen is a huge game with so many small details and information. This can confuse a new player at the beginning of the game, but don't worry about the details just yet. After youSign up for Star Citizen, just start creating your character after login.

After you've created a character, it's time to choose a starting point from the menu. click onPERSISTING THE UNIVERSEno menu

You should now see several spawn point options here. This will be your primary residence where you can sleep, store your gear and park your boats, in other words this will be your hometown. I suggest you pick any option except Orison as it can be a difficult place to land your ships and it has a large dense atmosphere. In this case we chooseLORVILLEas a starting point.Babbage Novait is also another starting point for beginners.

Now you will wake up in a random room and realize that you were born a 30 year old male and missed your entire childhood and most of your teenage years. but you'll still be a 30-year-old man or woman for the rest of your life, so that's a plus.

You can get up by pressing the button'Y'key on your keyboard. Star Citizen has many shortcut keys, so I advise you to take a look at the most important keys in the game settings. We will continue to cover some important keys in this guide.

You might want to explore the space and city that is now reputed to be your beloved hometown. Go out and explore the city and meet your fellow countrymen. After missing your compatriots, maybe it's time to find out who your parents are...but not, It's time to buy a great ship to explore the solar system. If you already have a ship that comes with the game pack, you're good to go.

To get to the ship hangar, you must first follow the signs and get to the metro station.

• Try to follow the signs to the metro station.
• Take the super fast train to the spaceport
• Just like in real life, you can see on the screens which train is going to your destination.
• Once you arrive at the Spaceport terminal, you need to follow the signs and find the fleet manager screen.
• Go to the fleet manager screen. Use"F"-Tasteto interact with the buttons.

Buy a boat and starter packs

After you reach the spaceport, you will see the Fleet Manager Terminal. Interact with the screen and choose a ship that you have already bought or buy a ship here to start your journey. Once you've bought a ship, you can get it back. You will see text showing which hangar your ship is in. Follow the signs and take the elevator to the hangar indicated.

Once you see your glorious ship, you must find a way to get inside. Depending on the boat you purchased, the pilot's seat can be accessed from the front, the back, or even under the boat on large boats. You can approach the ship and look for a button to open the door.

Basic boat tips and controls

Now you're in the comfortable seat of your ship and you're ready to take off, but first you need to know a few key points about how to fly Star Citizen.

• Be sure to familiarize yourself with the ship's controls.

How to request launch and open the hangar doors

• After familiarizing yourself with the key combination to fly, you need to apply for take-off clearance.
• PressF11key
• Go to the Friends tab (see image below).
• Lorville Landing Services or depends on where you apply (not really your friends just an AI)
• You can exit the hangar now, but first check the exit route.
• You can use the mouse wheel to increase and decrease the speed

CIt's the cruise control key. You can activate your afterburner with"Left Shift".

FAQ – FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What are ship upgrades?
If you want to replace your existing boat instead of buying a new one, you "only" pay the difference. Upgrades are basically possible from any ship to any more expensive ship. The special thing is that the insurance (see below) is transferred to the new ship. If the ship was part of a package tour, the remaining conditions of the package tour continue to apply.

I want to spend a little more money. Value?

What are hangars?
Hangars are separate small areas where you can spawn your ships. They are pretty but have no other function and are not (currently) attached to the back.

what is safe
The insurance is the boat insurance. If your ship somehow explodes, you can make a claim that restores a base variant of the ship. Changes made to the ship will not be restored. With the game currency UEC you can later buy insurance (certainly also in combos and with extras), but every purchased ship comes with insurance for a certain number of months, which varies depending on the ship, or (coveted) insurance for one Lifetime Also, the developers made sure that there will always be a way to restore a ship bought with real money.
