That is allThe challenge, or is thatsurvivor🇧🇷 it's not evenmiboth - isThe Challenge: United States🇧🇷 LaterSeries premiere last week, where all players became familiar with the CBS spin-off and learned the rules of the game, this week we started to see players infusing their original show strategies into this new environment. And I can't sum up how excited I was to see one.survivorThe blind side of the style plays just as well as the first big move this season. Let's recap!

This week's episode picks up right where we left off in the elimination arena, where TJ has just revealed that all partners are randomly selected each week. And so, the algorithm begins to generate new teams: Kyland and Sarah; Derek and Tasha; Cayla and James; Tyson and Justine; Leo and Angela; Javier and Azah; Cashel and Tiffany; Enzo and Alyssa; Danny and Desi; Dominick and Shannon; ben and shan; five and cashay; and David and Kira.

"Oh Say Can You See Tiffany": The CBS reality titans take on their next challenge, "Yeah Buoy," in which they must collect letter fragments from a rotating buoy high in the sky and form as many words as possible . Meanwhile, a SURVIVOR legend tries to cement his dominance in the game, a crafty BIG BROTHER player is too popular with other challengers, and two LOVE ISLAND ex-boyfriends must put aside their differences to win a challenge, on MTV presents THE CHALLENGE. : USA, Wednesday, July 13 (9:00 PM to 10:00 PM ET/PT) on CBS Television Network and available to stream live and on-demand on Paramount+. There are some notable issues with these new teams: Cayla and James are two out of only three overall.an amazing careerAlumni, and now that they're paired up, that makes them easy targets for any other team (unlike Ben and Shan, who have a ton ofsurvivorformer students to rescue them); Tyson just orchestratedthe departure of Justine's best friend, Cely, so now she feels bad about having to work with him; and Cinco and Cashay are ex-boyfriends who wanted to keep their distance at home. This algorithm actually said "maximum confusion". In related news, I love the algorithm.

Back at the house, it's all about the new random teams. Cashay and Five fear working together. Cayla worries about being doublean amazing careeralum team. Justine sits down with Tyson to discuss why she's so mad at him, but in true Tyson fashion, he doesn't care, she just wants to win the next challenge, make more money, and move on. She has no time or patience for hurt feelings. Will Justine do the same or will she continue to sulk?

Meanwhile, Tiffany thinks that flirting with Five will help protect her (sort of), but she has no idea of all the possibilities.survivorThe former students sit in the corner and talk about how unreliable he is. Apparently, Shan has all the hot gossip about the drama between Cashay and Five and how Tiffany and Five might be up to something outside of the game, and you can bet all of this is going to get out sooner rather than later. InsideThe challengeWorld, "Polidicing" can take you far if you play it right... but Tiffany may be trying too hard to flirt her way to the top. If she has noticed so soon, it is not a good sign.

The challenge: yes, buoy

Two teams compete simultaneously in the water, climbing a ladder and jumping onto rotating buoys that hang over the water. Players can collect up to five letters at a time from the buoys before jumping back into the water, swimming to shore, and making as many words as possible out of the letters they collect in Scrabble style. After 20 minutes, the team with the most formed words wins.

The first round is Angela and Leo against Sarah and Kyland, and Leo takes his time kicking off his shoes before jumping into the water while everyone else jumps right in. , he falls back into the water. Not a good start, but he keeps landing on his second jump and the race is finally on. Tiffany yells outside to help Kyland's team, and by the end of the round, Sarah and Kyland have five words while Angela and Leo only have four.

The second round is Azah and Xavier against Cayla and James, and when James takes his first jump, Cayla immediately falls...twice. James takes a heavy hit on the second jump from him and is out of breath, so Cayla just comforts him as he finishes the round. Azah and Xavier end up with three words, while Cayla and James get zero and are presumably sent straight to elimination. After all, they didn't have to worry about being ripped off by other teams, they did it themselves!

Next, Domenick and Shannon meet Enzo and Alyssa. Enzo and Alyssa end up with four words, while Domenick and Shannon only have two. The next round is Shan and Ben against Cashel and Tiffany, and Cashel thinks the spelling of his ex-girlfriend's name Kyra counts as one word. Tiffany asks him to rearrange the word and they end up with six (taking the lead) while Shan and Ben only have five. The next round is Derek and Tasha against Cashay and Five, and Cashay misses his first jump and makes it to his second, but is too scared to jump after receiving the cards from him. Five has to talk her down, and then she can't even swim back. It's a terrible feat, but in the end Cashay and Five have four words while Derek and Tasha have three.

In the next round, David and Kyra against Justine and Tyson, Tyson takes the opportunity to show off his fast swimming skills. Even after falling flat on his face, he just says, "I'm fine" and moves on. He walks around everyone and picks up almost all the cards in the cart. He also makes sure to keep his breath calm to stay alert throughout the competition watching. This guy is a reality TV villain.Oro🇧🇷 David thinks this is a great opportunity to see him punch Tyson and immediately fall off the wagon and I'm not sure if it was perfect editing or perfect timing but the whole sequence was *boss kiss*. David and Kyra finish with four words while Tyson and Justine have nine, putting them in first place.

The last round is Danny and Desi alone. They work well together and get six words. But that doesn't change the rankings: Tyson wins his second challenge in a row with Justine (who is now qualified for the finals along with Tyson and Angela), and James and Cayla are immediately eliminated.

Back at the house, Tyson and Justine ask James and Cayla for suggestions of people they'd like to meet. As we saw last week, James really has his finger on the pulse of social politics and alliance dynamics in the house, pointing out that Enzo and Alyssa and Xavier and Azah are the only ones who aren't.Incredible Race/Survivor/Love IslandTeams on the table, so taking Tyson and Justine would be a clean choice. But James also wants Cashel and Tiffany on the cutting deck, even though Cashel and Justine are from the same show. Justine understands how big the threat is to Tiffany, but she's not ready to hear the idea. Tyson is clearly passing them on already!

Later that night, Cashay watches Five literally take Tiffany to bed and it's very awkward. There's a lot of drama brewing between these three, and it continues to build the next morning when Cashay gossips with Kyra about how Tiffany is trying to control everyone.dear islandGuys, and Kyra doesn't trust Cashel to stay out of Tiffany's spell. Outside the bedroom, Tyson tries to gauge Tiffany's feelings about who to leave, and she throws Enzo and Alyssa under the bus. Alyssa can tell which way the wind is blowing, so she talks to her.Older brother"best friend" Xavier for help and vows to sway Tyson. Will it work or is it too late after Tyson promised to help Tiffany?

elimination

That night in the arena, Tyson and Justine finally decide... Tiffany and Cashel!Wow🇧🇷 Earlier this morning, Tyson literally promised Tiffany that he would do "anything" for her. Talk about a quick betrayal! It turns out that Tyson didn't just want to eliminate the person he saw as "glue."Older brotherGroup also learned that many of theOlder brotherThe alumni wanted her to leave (Xavier and Alyssa approached her and threw Tiffany under the bus while promising to help Tyson with damage control). This move worked for Tyson in several ways: he didn't bother herOlder brotherwhile at the same time weakening them by removing their thought leader. It's amazing and it worked so well for him that I honestly can't believe my eyes. Both Tyson and Justine are grinning from ear to ear coming out of that blind spot. These are not typicalchallengePlayer! I like howsurvivorThe gameplay seeps into this game and it has dominated so far.

Elimination Challenge:Knowledge is encouraged. Players must power up a power plant with four stationary bikes. After the first two lights come on, a block of icons will appear. Players must compete to recreate the symbols in the correct order on their game board. The teams must repeat the process two more times, and the first team to complete all three stages wins.

Cashel and Tiffany feel cheated while Cayla and James laugh and have fun pretending they get a free spin class. The difference in how these teams approach this elimination is absolutely hilarious. My money is on Cashel and Tiffany winning simply because they're so serious and in the zone, but if James and Cayla are really big spin guys, this could be the perfect elimination for them.

Cashel and Tiffany get their first light a few seconds before Cayla and James, but Tiffany quickly looks exhausted and James and Cayla make it to the first round of symbols first. Cayla freaks out about the memory part and they have to keep pedaling to complete the loop. Meanwhile, Cashel and Tiffany finally get their first symbols and finish on their first try and fast forward. Eventually, Cayla and James finish their first round of symbols and move on, but it is unknown how far behind they are.

It quickly becomes apparent that while Cashel is taking down this elimination, Tiffany is knocking him out. Her team continues to be outclassed by Cayla and James, who are fast on the bikes and reach the second round symbols on the first try. Cashel and Tiffany finally finish their second round, but it looks like Tiffany is about to pass out. Meanwhile, Cayla and James are starting to really treat it like they're in a spin class, keeping their pedals to the beat and dancing on the bikes. They get into a rhythm and end up making it to the third round, earning elimination and sending Tiffany and Cashel home.

What a hassle! Everyone is so happy that Tiffany and Cashel are leaving, especially her ex-girlfriend Kyra, who says that she cheated on her and broke her heart, so she made sure she didn't do that again in this game. Incredible. Hell no anger and all, and now Tiffany is pretty mad at everyone (except Five). Too bad she can't do anything about it in this game.

Now himan amazing careerThe team has returned home and no one is in the mood for revenge. That was the cleanest blindside I've ever seen on this show and I can't wait to see more. But first, TJ starts the algorithm from scratch... and we'll have to wait until next week to see who all the new partners are.

Challenger of the week:It would be so easy to give Tyson this week's honor given how well he handled the challenge and orchestrated that blind spot, but instead I'll give it to Justine for putting her feelings aside and messing with her brain. Instead of getting mad at Tyson for sending his best friend home, shedear islandAlum took his advice and became a great power player who proved herself in the challenge and enjoyed making her first blindside. She's definitely a player to watch now!
